We are thrilled to announce two Australian acts to join our budding roster – experimental rock band PVT and Perth innovators, THE CHEMIST.
Sydney band PVT has earned worldwide acclaim and attention for their seminal releases (Make Me Love You - 2005, O Soundtrack My Heart – 2008, Church With No Magic – 2010). In the lead up to the release of their yet-to-be-titled fourth studio album, PVT are hitting the road on an expansive tour across the USA and Canada with Portland’s Menomena, followed by a European jaunt supporting Bloc Party before returning home to Australia to accompany Gotye on his huge national tour. PVT’s record is set for release in early 2013 but in the meantime they have revealed the opening track ‘Shiver’ of their forthcoming album. You can watch the video here:
CREATE/CONTROL in conjunction with Dirt Diamonds are also excited to open their arms to indie-rockers, THE CHEMIST who are currently putting their final touches on their debut album Ballet in the Badlands. Recorded in Perth with Matt Lovell (Silverchair, The Mess Hall) and mixed by Burke Reid (Jack Ladder, The Drones), the four-piece have gone from strength to strength since forming. With two EP’s to their name, the band’s blues infused indie swamp rock is showcased powerfully in this new body of work. Look forward to hearing new music from THE CHEMIST later in 2012.
